21 Aug 1st Annual DUDES Club Men’s Health Fair

The DUDES Club is part of the Vancouver Native Health Society (VNHS). Their mandate is to “improve and promote the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health of individuals, focusing on the Aboriginal community residing in Greater Vancouver.”

At New History Consulting Inc., we are proud to support this group with donations of clothes and free services. Geoff has been fortunate enough to speak with the men and the staff of this group on several occasions. This one, however, promises to be even more of a blessing.

1st Annual Dudes Club Men’s Health Fair

We are looking to positively impact about 150 men. Henry Charles will open the day with a prayer while Lou Demarais will share a few words about VNHS. This is such a wonderful event, because the men coming through will have a chance to improve their health in a variety of ways:

Prostate Screening
Testicular Exam
Discussion about Erectile Dysfunction, testosterone and much more
STI Screening with STOP HIV Nurses 
Oral Cancer Screening
Blood Pressure checks with nurses
Group Activities (which will include several interactive groups, one of which will be lead by Geoff)

Men’s health is important to us and New History is proud to be part of this great initiative.
